What is Gelato?
“Gelato” is an Italian dessert similar to ice cream but is of less fat content and some ingredients are also different from ice cream. Aside from that it is heavier than ice cream because its overrun is lesser compared to ice cream, the machine used in making is different from ice cream.
“Gelato Filipino” is a gelato, which is also made using the gelato machine, process like the gelato but replacing some ingredients source locally and using Filipino fruits as flavors like mango, ube, strawberry, durian, avocado and other local tropical fruits. |
